Parachute inspection
Keep your parachute in perfect airworthy condition thanks to the complete inspection and repair service we offer at NK Service, the official Niviuk service centre.
Why should I have my parachute inspected at NK Service?
We offer an excellent service of airing, packing and installing the parachute. We know the different techniques for each type and model of parachute. Our experience allows us to set up your emergency parachute so that it is always in perfect condition and ready for a possible flight emergency.
At what intervals should you check your parachute?
It is recommended that the emergency parachute be checked periodically every 6 months, once or twice a year. In addition, after each deployment, it is advisable to carry out an additional check to ensure correct operation.
What is the operational life of a paraglider?
For reasons of safety, the operational life of a parachute must not exceed 10 years. If the parachute needs to be repaired, always follow the recommendations of the manufacturer or qualified personnel.
What is the inspection procedure at NK Service?
The inspection is instigated by the customer’s online order, where they select one or more services on this page, and proceed to shipping the parachute to our service centre. Upon receipt of the equipment, our technicians carry out a thorough inspection and inform the customer of the findings. If everything is in order, the parachute is returned (at the customer’s expense) in perfect condition.
If damage or wear is detected and any part of the equipment needs repair, we propose a detailed solution and then the customer decides whether or not to proceed with the repair.
How long does a parachute inspection take?
From the time we receive your parachute until we return it to you inspected is approximately 10 – 15 working days, subject to variations due to situations beyond our control. Please note that if the inspection results in a repair, the delivery time may vary depending on the damage, the type of repair and the workload of our workshop.
How much does NK Service cost?
The NK Service’s in-house inspection rates are detailed on this page. If during the inspection we find that repairs are required, we will send you a detailed quotation which you must accept before we proceed.
